How Does It Work?

The gauge fitting bolts onto the end of an existing dip stick
Simply set the spikes so that they’re fully extended
Insert the gauge into a dip tube (just as a dip stick normally would be)
After pushing the dip stick and gauge down to firmly touch the bottom of the tube, the dip stick can be withdrawn and the gauge examined
The gauge clearly records the wear in the striker pad
Simply measure the length of the protruding pins to determine the degree of wear.
If the pins show wear of 3mm or more, its time to change the striker plate.
